Blackjack is a well-known card game, also known as Twenty-One, and it’s one of the most commonly played casino games. The rules of Blackjack are simple, and almost everyone knows them. The players collect cards, and in the end, the player who gets the closest to twenty-one wins. If they go ‘bust’ over twenty-one, they lose, and if they collect less than other players, they lose as well.

There are many variants of blackjack online, but this new release from Microgaming is an excellent option for mobile gaming. Developed by Switch Studios, this beautiful game was developed especially for mobile phones, with all the bells and whistles you would expect from a beautifully designed online casino game. But now you don’t have to put up with the noisy crowds of people when you are planning out your blackjack strategy, and you don’t have to travel to a casino. When you play in online casinos, you are in the comfort of your own home and have complete control over your environment.

There are lots of different strategies for playing blackjack and different betting systems. It’s an exciting and fun game to play. The online casinos offer lots of different variations on the game.

New Release – European Blackjack

This new release of European Blackjack takes the proven casino classic and gives it new life with minimalist and clean design, with action and user comfort front and centre. It’s designed to work natively on small screens and desktop devices. Players can enjoy the experience and the thrill of playing a classic casino game either on the move, or from the comfort of their phone. The design is sleek, and the performance is stellar – no hitches here!

Rules of The Game

The basic rules of this game are the same as the classic blackjack – except that, in the European variant, the game is played with two decks of standard cards instead of one. This adds a certain thrill to the gameplay, as the distribution of cards is less predictable and more fun!

The first step in this game is to choose your bet and click on Deal. You will receive two cards, and the dealer will receive one. Now you have several options, each depending on which cards you’ve been dealt:

  • Hit – that means that you will request another card from the dealer, to increase the total number of points in your hand
  • Stand – this is good if you are happy with your hand, and you don’t think that the dealer can beat your score
  • Split – this option is used if you have been dealt two identical cards, which you can then split and play two hands in parallel
  • Double Down – this option is activated if your first two cards are valued at 9, 10 or 11 (excepting an Ace). In this option, you can double your bet and you will receive one final card.

This game also has the Insurance Bet option. This one is offered if the dealer drew an Ace as their first card. This option protects the player from the dealer’s blackjack.

Extra options

The interface of this European Blackjack variant is smooth and easy on the eye, the buttons are easy to use and there is a wide range of language support. The game sounds are pleasant and professional. But the excitement doesn’t stop with just the interface.

This release of the classic game has some extra options that could appeal to some players. One of these is a Turbo Mode – when you are feeling impatient and want the animations to go faster. Another is the Left-Hand Mode, which mirrors the position of the buttons (Deal / Clear, Hit/ Stand, Split / Double and Yes/ No) when the game is played on mobile devices.  This option can be accessed through the Settings menu.

Don’t Miss the Fun!

This adaptable and fun game will appeal to all types of players. The Mobile version is compact and portable, whereas the Desktop version offers the comfort of a larger screen. This European Blackjack game refreshes the old-fashioned blackjack sensibility with the modern aesthetic and will surely engage both experienced and new players. Check it out on the 15th May 2019 at the Gaming Club online casino! Until then, come enjoy our online pokies.
